Our class celebrated Halloween at school on Monday, October 31st. Fourth and fifth grade had the parade outside the main door. Many parents and families came to watch. We saw a lot of different costumes in the parade. Star Wars and witches were very popular costumes! After the parade our class had a party. We ate cookies, sandwiches, and chips. We got a lot of treats! Our class watched Hotel Transylvania while we were eating. It was a fun day!
In math class we did pumpkin math. For this we had two larger pumpkins, one for each team. We had to estimate the weight, circumference and how many seeds in each. We used a tape measure to measure the circumference and a scale to measure the weight. I estimated 68 seeds. I was a little off. There were actually 550 seeds. It was fun putting my hands in the pumpkins!
